Bright Eyes'
many albums.
Conor Oberst, the main man in the band, is literally my hero.
His lyrics are just so real.
So straight forward.
So poetically genius.
So much so...
that I felt the need to gush about them on a blog post dedicated all to him.
The only disappointing part is that Bright Eyes recently released their final album, The People's Key on February 15, 2011, Conor's 31st birthday.
I guess I'm just lucky I found this band at all because he started writing his own music when I was only 2 & I basically found him out of sheer luck. I guess fate had known I needed some REAL music in my life.
So, in honor of Conor Mullen Oberst's upcoming 32nd birthday, I thought it would be great to celebrate with some of my favorite song quotes.
"Well I could have been a famous singer
If I had someone else’s voiceBut failure’s always sounded better
Lets fuck it up boys, make some noise!"
-Road to Joy
"And I’m not sure what the trouble was that started all of this
The reasons all have run away but the feeling never did
It’s not something I would recommend, but it is one way to live
Cause what is simple in the moonlight, by the morning never is
What’s so simple in the moonlight, now is so complicated"
The reasons all have run away but the feeling never did
It’s not something I would recommend, but it is one way to live
Cause what is simple in the moonlight, by the morning never is
What’s so simple in the moonlight, now is so complicated"
-Lua
"She said I kissed her different, that all the men her age were mean
Gave me anything I wanted, Oh the generosity
I took all that I could, it was free
Now the sky is a torn up denim and the clouds are just splattered paint
It's a room I'm renovating; it's a name I got to change
If I get out of California I'm going back to my home state
To tell them all that I made a mistake"
-Classic Cars
